Website Templates

FoodyDesign provides 16 built-in website templates designed for restaurants. Templates provide a starting structure for your website so you do not have to create the design from scratch. Choose a template based on your restaurant's brand, cuisine, content, and preferred presentation.
To choose a template: Open Website Design. Select Templates. Browse the available designs. Preview each template. Review desktop and mobile views. Select your preferred template. Apply it to your website.
Before selecting a template: Select Preview. Review the homepage. Check menu presentation. Review photos and text placement. Preview mobile display. Return to the template list if you want to compare another design.
To change templates: Open Website Design. Select Templates. Preview another template. Review how your existing content will appear. Apply the new template. Review every important page before publishing. Changing templates should not be treated as a substitute for reviewing the resulting website.
Where supported, restaurant content remains stored separately from the visual template. After changing templates, review: Headings Text Images Menus Buttons Page sections Mobile layout Some content may need visual adjustment.
Browse templates that give your food photography and menu strong visual emphasis. Your template can then be customized with your Korean restaurant's branding, menu, colors, logo, and images.
Restaurants with highly visual products may benefit from templates that emphasize photography, featured products, and simple navigation. Preview several templates before deciding.
Consider a clean design with strong photography, spacious layouts, clear menu access, reservations/contact information where applicable, and restrained visual elements.
Consider designs that make menus, locations, hours, and online-ordering buttons easy to find. Customers should be able to move quickly from the homepage to ordering.
Before making a major design change: Review your current website. Save or preserve important content where applicable. Apply the new template. Review every page. Check the mobile version. Test menu and ordering links. Publish only after confirming the new design.

Website Design & Branding

Open the design or branding settings and choose colors that match your restaurant's identity. Maintain enough contrast between text and backgrounds for readability.
Choose fonts that are easy to read on both desktop and mobile devices. Use decorative fonts carefully, especially for long menu descriptions.
Depending on your selected template, you may be able to change background colors or images. Preview text readability after making changes.
Your header may include: Restaurant logo Navigation Order button Telephone number Location information Keep the header simple and useful.
The footer can contain: Restaurant name Address Telephone number Hours Important links Social links Legal links Review footer information whenever restaurant contact details change.
A hero image is the large visual area near the top of many homepages. Use a high-quality photo that represents your restaurant, signature food, or atmosphere.
Depending on the template, you may be able to show, hide, or rearrange sections. Common homepage sections include: Hero Welcome Featured dishes Menu About Catering Online ordering Gallery Hours Location Contact
Open the page editor and move supported sections into the desired order. Place the most important customer actions near the top. For many restaurants, these include: View Menu, Order Online, Catering, and Get Directions.
If a section is not needed: Open the page editor. Select the section. Choose the visibility option. Hide or disable it. Preview the page. Save.
Use Preview to inspect changes before customers see them. Check both desktop and mobile layouts before publishing significant design changes.

Pages & Website Content

Open the page-management area and select Add Page. Enter a page title, add content, configure navigation visibility, and save.
Use the homepage editor to update: Main headline Restaurant description Featured food Calls to action Images Catering information Ordering buttons Keep the homepage focused on what customers need most.

Include: Address Telephone number Public email Hours Contact form where available Map/directions where supported Test the page after publishing.
A catering page can explain: Catering services Party trays Corporate meals Event catering Serving sizes Advance notice Ordering instructions If connected to FoodyXpress, provide an appropriate path to available catering ordering.
Make it easy for customers to find your ordering options. Include a clear Order Online action and connect it to the restaurant's supported ordering workflow.

Use frequently asked questions to answer common customer concerns about: Hours Parking Ordering Catering Dietary options Delivery Pickup Reservations where applicable
Create a privacy page appropriate for the information your website and connected services collect. Because privacy requirements vary, restaurant owners should use policies appropriate to their business and applicable requirements.
Where needed, create a Terms and Conditions page describing applicable website and service terms. Use qualified professional guidance when legal requirements are uncertain.

Food Menu Templates

FoodyDesign provides 10 built-in menu templates to help restaurants display food clearly and professionally. The food menu can use restaurant data rather than requiring the owner to design each menu page manually.
To select a menu design: Open Menu Design. Browse the 10 menu templates. Preview each design. Review category and item presentation. Check mobile appearance. Select the preferred template. Save.
You can change the visual menu design without rebuilding the entire restaurant menu where supported. After changing the template, verify: Categories Item names Prices Descriptions Photos Ingredients Modifiers
Use Preview and select desktop view. Review spacing, item descriptions, pricing, category navigation, and food images.
Mobile menu usability is especially important. Verify that customers can easily: Browse categories Read item names See prices View descriptions Select items Reach ordering functions
Adjust available menu colors to match your restaurant's website branding while maintaining readability.
Select clear typography for food names, descriptions, and prices. Avoid fonts that make menu information difficult to read.
Enable food images where supported. Use accurate, high-quality photographs that represent the item customers will receive.
Photos are not required for every menu design. A clean text-based menu can work well when item names, descriptions, categories, and prices are presented clearly.
Preview another menu template, apply it, and review the entire menu before publishing. Your underlying menu data should remain separate from its visual presentation where supported.

Food Menu Management

Create categories first, then add menu items. Example categories: Appetizers Soups Salads Entrées Noodles Rice Sides Desserts Beverages Catering
Select Add Category, enter the category name and applicable information, then save.
Enter: Item name Description Price Category Photo Ingredients where applicable Dietary information Availability Ordering options Then save the item.
Open the menu item, make the required changes, save, and preview the customer-facing menu.
If an item may return later, deactivating it is often preferable to permanently deleting historical information.
Enter the selling price carefully and verify it before publishing. When connected with FoodyMaxx, determine which system is the authoritative source for shared menu pricing.
Create variations such as: Small Medium Large Regular Family Half Tray Full Tray Add appropriate pricing for each size.
Create options such as: Protein Side Sauce Spice level Toppings Preparation preference Mark required selections appropriately.
Temporarily disable an unavailable product. If connected to FoodyMaxx, use the configured synchronization workflow to help keep availability consistent across connected channels.
Where supported, configure menu items for specific days or times. Examples include breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour, weekend menus, and seasonal offerings.

Ingredients & Dietary Information

Open a menu item and add the ingredients used in the dish. Accurate ingredient information can help customers better understand the food.
Update ingredient information when recipes change. Review customer-facing descriptions after making changes.
Maintain reusable ingredient records where supported so common ingredients can be assigned to multiple dishes.
Configure whether applicable ingredient information appears in customer-facing menu details.
Where appropriate, identify restaurant-provided information such as vegetarian or other dietary characteristics. Use accurate descriptions rather than assumptions.
Restaurants should carefully manage allergen information. If allergen information is displayed, keep it accurate and current and consider appropriate cross-contact notices where relevant.
When FoodyDesign and FoodyMaxx share supported menu data, review synchronized ingredient information after recipe or menu changes.
Review how ingredients and item descriptions appear before customers add products to online orders.
When a recipe changes: Update the source information. Review ingredient records. Review dietary information. Review allergen information where applicable. Confirm synchronization. Preview the customer-facing menu.
Before publishing a menu update, verify item names, prices, descriptions, ingredients, dietary information, photographs, and availability.

Photos & Media

Open the applicable menu item and upload a clear food photograph. Preview how it appears on desktop and mobile.
Add photographs of your dining room, exterior, interior, catering setup, or other useful customer-facing views.
Choose an image that immediately communicates the restaurant's food or atmosphere. Avoid low-resolution or heavily cropped photographs.
Select the current image, choose Replace, upload the new image, preview it, and save.
Select the image and use the applicable remove/delete function. Preview the page afterward to make sure the layout still works.
For best results: Use sharp images. Use good lighting. Avoid unnecessary text embedded in photos. Keep food presentation accurate. Check cropping on mobile devices.
Arrange photos to show customers a balanced view of your food, restaurant atmosphere, and catering services.
Where supported, use banners for restaurant announcements, seasonal menus, catering, or promotions. Remove outdated banners promptly.

Domain, SEO & Publishing

When your website is ready: Preview every important page. Review the mobile version. Verify restaurant information. Check menu prices. Test buttons and links. Test ordering. Verify the domain. Select Publish.
If you already own a domain, use the FoodyDesign domain setup instructions to connect it. The exact DNS changes depend on your domain provider and FoodyDesign configuration.
If you plan to use a new domain, choose a name that is easy for customers to recognize, spell, and remember. Complete the required domain configuration before promoting the site.
DNS connects your domain name to the services that power your website and email. Change only the records required for your FoodyDesign configuration, and preserve unrelated records unless you know they should be changed.
Create a descriptive title for each important page. For example: Umma's KBBQ | Korean Restaurant in Lake Forest, CA Keep titles relevant to the actual restaurant and page.
Write a concise description explaining the page to search engines and potential visitors. Include useful information naturally rather than repeating keywords unnecessarily.
Use short, descriptive URLs such as: /menu /catering /about /contact Avoid unnecessarily complicated URLs.
Keep your restaurant's name, address, telephone number, business hours, and location information accurate and consistent.
Preview every major page using the mobile view. Pay particular attention to: Navigation Menu readability Food images Order buttons Telephone links Address information Contact forms
You can continue editing after launch. Make the change, preview it, and publish the updated version using the available workflow.
